Public sector workloads
A PSA workload survey has found that a high percentage of public sector employees are working between three and five unpaid hours a week on top of their paid hours in an effort to keep on top of their workload. Many are doing more than this.

Flexible work arrangements
The flexible working hours amendment bill was passed into law on 21 November, 2007 and came into effect on 1 July 2008. It introduces a duty on employers to consider seriously requests for flexible working arrangements from employees with care responsibilities.
