PSA union members are all part of one of several collective agreements at Healthcare of NZ.

The Home Support collective agreement covers the largest group of home support union members in New Zealand.  There are also collective agreements for NZ Care support workers, Coordinators Facilitators and Admin and Mental Health Recovery and Reintegration Facilitators.

Union-only benefits

The PSA has negotiated Collective Agreements at Healthcare NZ offering improved terms and conditions that apply to union members only, including:

  • 13 days extra sick leave (for support workers and mental health workers - but we're always trying to increase sick leave for our members)
  • Increased number of days for bereavement leave (for support workers and mental health workers - but just like sick leave, we're always trying to increase sick leave for our members)
  • Birthday leave for support workers
  • Annual wellness payments for Coordinators, Facilitators and Admin and Mental Health Recovery and Reintegration Facilitators
