Regional Rep - Wellington
Malo ni, Talofa lava, kia orana, taloha, bonjour, ni hao ma, greetings.
I’m a proud born & bred Wellingtonian of mixed heritage and I work at Capital & Coast DHB as a Payroll Specialist & I have been a delegate there since 2015.
In August 2018, in attendance of my first ever PSA Women’s Network Conference in Auckland I became a committee member of the network. In 2020 I was elected as interim Co-convenor until our new committee met for the first time that year.
I was elected on to the committee as the first Wellington Regional Representative (2020-2022). Since early 2018 I have been on the DHB Sector Committee & was re-elected in 2019.
I have been an active & passionate member of the PSA Pasefika Network since 2017 especially in my role as an Engagement Working Party Member & in 2020 I became the first elected Treasurer of the network’s new committee. I am an ECO rep for the PSA Eco Network & I am also a member of the Deaf & Disability Network.
Being involved with the Women’s Network & all the other PSA committees is my opportunity to represent the members I stand for in the best way possible.
It is a privilege to be part of this committee, to be a passionate voice for those who need a strong advocate championing for fairness, equality within the workplace & our communities.
I am happy to challenge the various narratives to ensure the societal status quo of women & all workers is upheld positively & of benefit to all.
Be safe, be kind, be brave and let’s all challenge to make a difference.
