Urgent Auckland public health action

We have an opportunity to make a huge different for our underfunded public health system. But we don't have much time. We need help in Auckland this weekend and then from Mon 4 - 11 April. Your help will make the difference.

Do you remember the 297 crosses that went around the country representing workers who died at work? They were made in 24 hours by a bunch of awesome volunteers to protest the Government's plan to water down our health and safety at work. We ran front page media stories around the country and John Key called the resulting backlash against the Government his most embarrassing moment of 2015.

The PSA is doing the same type of action around Auckland. This time it's about our public health system and how the Government's $1.7billion under-funding affects you and your family, the public and health workers.

The action will:

  • Talk about underfunding of our public health system and how it affects you
  • Talk about workload issues for all health workers
  • Get media (already organised)
  • Promote the Auckland Allied health strike next Fri 8 April
  • Encourage Allied staff to join their strike

We need help from Saturday 2 April - Monday 11 April. 30 minutes is fine. An hour is great. More is awesome.

We are looking for:

  • General labour
  • Volunteer co-ordination skills
  • Building/Carpentary skills (low-medium)
  • Design skills (low-medium)
  • Photographer (medium-high)
  • VIdeographer (medium-high)
  • Video editing (medium-high)
