Vote NO to the DHBs’ new contract

Dear PSA member,

Auckland Allied, Public Health, Technical and Scientific MECA update

You can only vote on the new contract at our meetings

DHBs just gave us their offer and with Xmas coming up, meetings are being held at short notice from 6 - 18 Dec. Dates and times:  www.psa.org.nz/auckland-allied/meetings. There is no online voting.

Our strikes won us our first formal offer

Strikes work. After eight months we only got a formal offer because we went on strike.

The DHBs new offer is worse than before

We double the savings we were offering to $2.1m. The DHBs went backwards. Their offer is worse than what an overwhelming majority of members already rejected.

We need a big turnout to send a strong message

DHBs sent a press release yesterday misleading members into thinking we are recommending you vote in favour. They also say there isn’t a workload problem and the PSA is misleading you. It’s therefore really important you attend and have your say. Make sure your team come too.

Your delegates recommend you vote no

The deal is unfair and unsafe. Staff will lose pay and increased workloads will put patients and the public at risk. The PSA supports your delegates recommendation.

Kind regards,

Your Auckland Health Team
