Donna Gore
Bay of Plenty DHB
I consider this an exciting opportunity to do more: more for the union and more for our members.
As a delegate I am enjoying the environment and am building positive relationships with people across all levels at the DHB. I have been involved in Health and Safety, wellness reviews, discretionary sick leave and been chosen by members to help them with issues that arise. I have enjoyed recruiting new members and am actively involved in our Equal Pay Campaign.
I have been with the DHB since 2004, although did have 3 years off on Maternity Leave returning 2013. I have worked in many administrative roles around the DHB and have not been afraid of speaking out about unfairness and poor working conditions.
I am confident that I can encourage new members to be involved with developments inside the organisation. I personally am keen to be involved in all things innovation and progress. For me it is important to support our members and keep them strong.
I believe I have the communication skills to influence, inspire and engage others. I enjoy problem solving and I aspire to be more involved with our Union and Members and strengthening these relationships)
