Nia Bartley
Capital and Coast DHB
Malo ni, Talofa lava, kia orana, taloha, bonjour, ni hao ma, greetings.
I’m a proud born & bred Wellingtonian of mixed heritage and I work at Capital & Coast DHB as a Payroll Specialist.
I have been a delegate for CCDHB since early 2015 & joined the Sector Committee early 2018 & was re-elected in 2019. I have been an active & passionate member of the PSA Pasefika Network since 2017 especially in my role as an Engagement Working Party Member
and this year I was the first elected Treasurer of the network’s new committee. In August 2018 I became a PSA Women’s Network Committee member, and this year became the interim Co-convenor. I was also elected as the Wellington Regional Representative of the new Women’s Network committee for the next two years.
I am also an ECO rep for the PSA Eco Network as climate change is very real & important to us all. And, I am a member of the Deaf & Disability Network.
I believe every worker should enjoy what they do and be valued, paid fairly, provided with career opportunities where possible and treated with respect and kindness. Being on the Sector is my opportunity to represent the members within the sector in the best way possible.
I am very much a people person and I feel it is a privilege to be part of this committee to be the voice for those who need a strong advocate for fairness and equality within the workplace and our communities because we are all 100% worth it.
Ma tini, ma mano, ka rapa te whai
