David Do

I’ve been a public servant since the start of 2012 as an Advisor at the Tertiary Education Commission.

As a new member to the committee I bring a fresh voice because I’m also relatively young (under 30) and new to the public service with just over two years at the Commission.

Currently I am an active employee: PSA delegate since I started in the public service; deputy convenor at the TEC, TEC health and safety representative; and an active member of the PSA Youth and Out@PSA networks.

I also bring a strong and positive track record of leadership, governance, and representation experience. While studying at Auckland University, I got involved with helping and representing students in welfare and education roles. In 2008, I was elected Auckland University Students’ Association president and I was elected national student president (NZUSA) for 2010 and again in 2011. During this time, I served on a variety of education-related boards and committees locally and nationally.
