I am currently a site delegate for ACC here in Palmerston North.
At ACC our role is to help people recover from injury and return to independence and their daily lives.
My particular role involves working with high volumes of people who have had an injury that is likely to keep them off work for under 70 days – so lower complexity situations but high caseloads.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Plant Science from Massey University here in Palmerston North and am looking to do more study in the future.
I believe the people are the heart of our organisations and to be able to look after our clients and the public of New Zealand, we need to ensure we are taking care of ourselves as staff.
