Tracey Glennie

Currently employed by Victoria University of Wellington as the School Manager, School of Education.

I have been a member and a workplace delegate of the PSA since 2012. I was then elected onto the DHB Sector Committee in 2013 where I served 2 years before leaving the DHB to work in the Tertiary Sector.

I became a workplace delegate at Massey and after my role was disestablished at Massey, I found employment at Victoria University of Wellington and became PSA’s one and only delegate at Victoria!

I joined the National Tertiary Committee in 2015 when at Massey and now, due to a vacancy created by the restructuring at Otago University and Pam Jemmett’s departure, I am now co-convenor of the National Tertiary Committee and a member of the State Sector Committee.

I am passionate about equity and equality. I am frustrated that Aotearoa/NZ has had a bill for equal pay for women since the early 1970s and yet, in female dominated employment, those employees are paid close to the minimum wage.   I am proud of the work that the PSA has achieved on pay equity and the work the PSA is currently working on towards bridging the gender pay gap.
