Service Centre Manager, Hamilton East
Kia ora Manager Members,
I’m currently the SCM for Hamilton East in the Waikato, or #TeamEastside as we call ourselves. I’ve been with MSD for 32 years and in management for 20 of those years, and have worked as Case Manager, Team Coach/Trainer, Compass Programme Coordinator and Work Broker. I have prior experience as Regional Training Manager/Business Improvement Manager, Service Centre Management and project management with the national Simplification team and MSD’s Lean Six Sigma business improvement programme.
I’ve been fortunate to expand my learning and knowledge kit at MSD over the past 10 years and have graduated with qualifications as Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies, Diploma in Public Relations and Communication Management, Diploma in Strategic Communication and Diploma in Public Sector Management. As a manager I’m committed to a strong focus on staff training and capability development and I’m driven by supporting my team to provide mana manaaki to each other, our clients, communities and all MSD partners.
My public servant parents and grandparents raised me with the values of knowing where my turangawaewae is (“A place to stand”) and to always speak the truth, have integrity in my actions, be privileged in serving people and to do what is right. My aim as Delegate for Waikato Managers is to ensure they have a positive voice in the workplace for their viewpoints to be heard and to represent them with integrity and professionalism. On a personal note, my husband and I have been married for 23 years in 2020 and we have 5 children (4 sons and 1 daughter) and 6 grandchildren (5 boys and 1 girl) and 2 of our boys currently work as Case Managers at MSD in Waikato and Canterbury regions.
Our daughter and my husband have also previously worked for MSD as CSR’s for the Hamilton Contact Centre and my husband was a Work Track Programme Coordinator in Hamilton for Work and Income – so it truly has been a MSD whanau journey for us
