Express interest to attend the women’s network conference 2014

You can now express interest to attend the 2014 PSA women’s network conference on 13 - 14 August 2014 in Auckland.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting programme, with a focus on pay equity and the general election as well as workshops on assertiveness, public speaking skills, family violence is a workplace issue and valuing older workers.

We’ll also be electing the network committee for the 2014-16 term, and doing some planning on what we want to do in the different regions over the coming year!

Spaces are limited, so be in quick! Expressions of interest close on 20 June. We will be in touch to confirm attendance or otherwise by 4 July. Selection criteria will include:
•    Equal representation across the sectors (or a close to as possible)
•    Representation of different worksites within each sector
•    Fair regional representation
•    A fair representation of ethnicity
•    A mix of age representation
•    An assessment of the comment of why you want to attend.

Please note, the conference is not approved for Employment Relations Education Leave. You will need to negotiate paid union leave to attend the conference, or, as a last resort, take annual leave. We recommend that you discuss this with your manager before submitting your expression of interest. If your expression of interest is successful, we can provide a letter to assist you in your discussions with your employer.

Transport and accommodation will be arranged for you and paid by the PSA.

We believe this is going to be a great opportunity to meet other PSA women member and will be a fun and informative conference. We look forward to your participation.

Please email if you have any questions about the conference.
