Network, sector committee and other leadership elections

Becoming a delegate is one leadership role in the union.

If you’re a delegate you can stand for a sector committee (June/July) where you’ll make decisions on PSA priorities for your sector, and if you’re elected to a sector committee you can eventually stand for the PSA’s Executive Board. Outside of these traditional structures you can stand for leadership roles in the various PSA Networks, including PSA Youth. And of course there are many other ways you can be a leader in your union including attending PSA meetings and events, speaking up, organising activities and events, recruiting other members, and participating in campaigns.

PSA Youth Convenor elections (for the national convenor and four regional convenors) will all take place at the same time this year, around August – during or soon after the PSAY Leaders Hui. If you’re interested in standing for a network convenor role, we recommend planning to attend the hui.
