New rūnanga convenor

Marcia Puru with Marshall Tangaroa

Marcia Puru has been chosen as the new convenor for Te Rūnanga o ngā Toa Āwhina, replacing Alby Marsh whose term had come to an end. Marshall Tangaroa joins her as the new deputy convenor. Marcia brings to the role her extensive experience as a workplace delegate, Māori enterprise delegate and as a member of the public service sector committee. Marcia says her role is to advance Maori members and Māori delegates across the PSA. “Success for me is to develop and inspire more Māori to stand as delegates, to enable them, through having the mana, resources, training and kaupapa Māori, to enact their roles at their workplaces and create Māori engagement across the PSA.”
