Strike action 9 July - what's happening where


Here's a list of all the actions PSA members at IR and MBIE will hold on 9 July. We welcome your support! We will update this list with any changes, so check back before you head out - and don't forget a raincoat.

Wellington

RALLY AND MARCH

Meeting at Midland Park 1:20pm. 1:40pm marching from Midland Park to IR Asteron building – rally outside. 2pm outside Stout Street with speeches from CTU President Richard Wagstaff, PSA National Secretary Glenn Barclay

Christchurch

RALLY AND MARCH

1.30pm members to meet at Cashel St Mall outside MBIE. 1.40pm – 2.10pm March down the mall area to the Bridge of Remembrance. 2.10pm – 2.30pm – speakers

Auckland South

RALLY AND MARCH

Members at Manukau will walk off the job to corner Osterley Way outside IR, then all to march to corner Manukau Station Road and Osterley Way for placard activities then march to Manukau Court at 1:45pm for rally and speakers.

Auckland Central

RALLY AND MARCH

Members will occupy the 4 corners of the Queen Street and Victoria Street Intersections until 1:40pm.The rally will march to Freyberg Place where speeches and rally will take place. 

Whangarei

RALLY AND MARCH

Start outside IR in Whangarei and march to venue at Forum North

Hamilton

RALLY AND MARCH

1:30 pm - March down Victoria Street meeting with MBIE to Garden Place.  Speeches at Garden Place 1:50/ 2pm.

Tauranga

March down Cameron Road to the Strand. Rally at the Strand at 1.30.

Dunedin

Nelson

Members doing Tahunanui clean-up day. Meet at open area near the volleyball courts (near the Beach Café)

Timaru

Members doing volunteer work at 1pm - SC Hospice Church Street shop

 

Members at New Plymouth, Gisborne, Napier and Greymouth will hold meetings.
