Submit your views on effective social services

The Productivity Commission is currently taking submissions on their draft report into NZ's social services.

The Commission has been asked to look at ways to improve how government agencies commission and purchase social services. This will include how agencies identify the needs of people who use the services, how they choose organisations to provide the services, and how the contracts between agencies and organisations work. The Productivity Commissions website has the findings and recommendations in the report along with a brief video explanation.

PSAY Lower South Island Regional Convenor Erin Hodgson is putting together a submission on behalf of PSAY. If you have any feedback, or anything you think is important for PSAY to include in our submission, please let us know at Submissions close mid-June, so please get any feedback to us by Friday 12th June at the latest. Alternatively, have a go at writing your own submission. The more feedback we give, the more likely we are to influence the outcome!
