On 9 September, 10,000 public servants are going on strike for fair pay and better service delivery. That includes members working at the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Ministry for Ethnic Communities (MEC); the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE); and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD).

Our public services are under attack, the Government wants to replace public servants with AI, and pay is falling further behind the cost of living.

The workforce is at breaking point – these public servants are taking action to make sure their work is valued.
